Like Purple -should- be about sending to trash to then use your trash like a second hand either by getting things into play or empowering your current cards by discarding, but also as a result lacking in ways to refresh your barriers when they go down and suffering in hand size...and then they get cards that discard their -opponents- decks, refreshes their shields, and gives them stupid hand draw.
