>even the obvious budget title holds upWhy were these games so fucking good?
Deadlocked was made for edgy cool kids like me who like guns and violence and don't want cute sidekicks.
>>722631003Passion was actually valuable Even with burnt out devs during those times
Deadlocked is actually the best game in the series. People will reply to this post trying to argue UYA, GC, or even the first game are actually the best. These posters are objectively wrong and can be safely ignored.
>>722631003I rather play a "shitty" old game than a new "good" game.
Deadlocked has the best combat. I respect them for attempting to go all in for the spinoff.
>>722631078I just finished it and I didn't find it particularly edgy.
>>722631168Based and true
I enjoyed 1, got bored of 2 halfway through cuz it became mindless. Should I play 3 or jump to 4? The idea of pure combat sounds neat. Or is it just piss easy circlestrafe hell?
>>722631539You might enjoy 3. It does some things different to GC that might make it less mindless for you. Or you'll find it more mindless. Depends on how you view it, I guess.Deadlocked is a relatively difficult game as long as you're playing on the hardest difficulty level (which is locked until you beat the game at least once, kinda gay honestly)
>>7226315393 is a lot better than 2
Im gonna go home and tell my kids not to watch this!...just as soon as I have kids
>>722631003The online on this game was amazing, I miss it dearly
>>722631003They only had ONE year of dev time each, roo. What the fuck happened to Insomniac man, they used to be the GOAT
>>722635150One year was the norm, the industry has fucking crumbled
>>722631235Too new and too shitty.
>>722635308This.Some of it has to do with the march of technology but most of it has to do with publisher priority.Indie Devs could make something like a modern Ratchet & Clank but unfortunately that's way outside of the budget at that level of development. The 90s-20s were the sweat spot of dev costs not being out of control and publishers being willing to publish things like this.
>>722631235why don't you play a new good game instead of a new [scarequotes]good[/scarequotes] game?
>>7226315393 and 4 are mostly made up of multiplayer arenas with a chore list to complete to progress. Not sure if you'll find them any better but they're different
>>722635752If you stretch the definition wide enough, everything's a "chore list".
>>722635150Yea, it showed too
>>722631003coop its good solo its pretty mid
