Without pandering to casuals you'd basically have an arena FPS with extra variety. That's what Quake Champions was, I think. Try that.

I played like 10 hours of marvel rivals and that was enoughI really hate having the MMO trinity in a shooter, healers are way too potent and tanks just fucking sit there. Just turns into a game of charging ultimates to break the stalemate, instead of a proper shooter. Too many retarded melee characters as well.

Then since they are locked down and don't allow community content there is nothing to keep me invested. So recently I just wait a while for games to build up content but by the time that they have enough that I think its worth getting the game is dead so I end up not buying it.
