Why is the protag the only one who can come back to life? Every other character's death is treated as permanent, besides enemy mobs for some reason.

What about the trash mobs? I thought they respawn because of how the Erdtree recycles life but that doesn't explain the Albanurics since they are completely disconnected from Grace. Then I thought it's because the Rune of Death is sealed but then you break it out and the enemies still respawn.

Yet in game you pass many a fallen hero's corpse. Why your soul and not them? Also ghost form seemingly lets you do anything a real body can so it doesnt really seem like that bad of a drawback aside from health. Is it still a ghost if it can interact with and affect the living? They are just transparent humans
