nah, the economy is collapsing, so I just sit on my money nowadays.

If I want to gamble, I'll take a little money to a casino and double it so I can hit the buffet and gorge myself on crab legs.

The image (hopefully deliberately) misses the clever humor of the original line.

Most gamblers who quit do so "before they make it big", i.e. almost no gambler ever makes it big regardless, so those who end up quitting do so without that happening, so the statement is true even if it's made to be interpreted badly.

Casino gambling addiction is for idiots anyway, if you aren't a pro level poker player you shouldn't be there for any significant amount of time if you aren't there to wash your money or flaunt your cash to sluts. There are legit ways to 'gamble' that have positive return by default, get a cheap brokerage account and throw your money into stocks however you feel like, you won't likely be able to consistently "beat the market", but you can be a retard and still get 10%+ returns by default by just pissing money into shit and watching numbers go up and down.
