Who is the target audience for this, exactly?

Retards who can't afford the Switch 2

Before the Deck,Ally,Claw and Legion Go, the average handheld PC's price involved a comma. I don't know how these Chinese companies intend to compete now that they don't control the market. I have one of the first AyaNeos, but I hardly touch it now that I have an Ally.

You could buy a ps5 slim for yourself, your sibling, and your cousin at the same price as getting ONE base model GPD WIN 5

The Win 5 is a mistake all-around compared to the Win 4

What did GPD fucking mean by this?

I don't know, but seeing as how they don't include any specs on there, they're embarrassed about them. Meant for dumb people who don't care as long as they're spending more.
>>
>>722649871
Meanwhile you could get a stinky eck for like $300 and play 99% of the exact same games

Which one does GPD think I'm going to buy?

The GPD Win 1 was based back in the day

Loved this little fella, bitch burns your hand after 40 minutes but you could see the potential (that turned into what handhelds are today)

Anyone that can afford a PC Handheld. But I would recommend people use SteamOS version.

Charming little bugger
I bet it's still valuable for indie and emulated games even now
>>
>>722650502
I had a Win 2 running the official Ubuntu Mate image, GTA 5 barely ran, cranking up PS1 games to 720p with PGXP warp correction had performance drops, and if was loud as fuck. Sold it for half of what i paid for it because it really didn't do what i needed it to do.

Picked up an Ayaneo Slide recently and I'm happy with it but I'd still love another clamshell handheld

>>722650502
I wish companies would go back to doing experimental stuff like that, every notebook and smartphone looks the same now.

Handheld PCs have always been in a weird limbo, the form factor suggests business use but doing any work on a tiny 7" screen sucks plus the battery drains too fast. Gamers would be a perfect target because a fully fledged PC that can run fully fledged PC games was any gamer dream but the ergonomics on these machines were always dogshit. It took the Steam Deck to finally get something viable in that segment.

The same retards that backed the Ouya. And there are LOTS of them.

I bought one of these. A few years later after the last "we're definitely sending out the next batch of these, honest!" emails, I went on the forums and asked if I'm ever going to get one. They said no because the guy who was delivering to Australia/UK took all the money and ran. The mere mention of this piece of shit makes me so fucking bitter.

I boughted a Steam Deck finally last week, and it's been fun. I've been playing the Wii version of Little King's Story and Fantasy Life i on it so far. I also bought Kingdom Hearts to play next since a friend has been asking me to play it for years.
>>
>>722648983
The target audience is autistic people.
Handhelds as a market has been knee capped by the Steam Deck. The only reason to get a handheld is because you're moving often and won't have the time or space for a laptop, in which case, you don't need to be playing the latest games, you just need to do something.

Buying a handheld should be the difference between "I either doomscroll or I play some video game".

>overkill APU marketed towards AI
That's the point, doesn't matter if it is AI branded, it still is the best portable APU in the market right now.

The GPD5 is just a vanity project, a """"portable""""" that can run every single game in the market at high to max settings. If you got the money to spend on ridiculous gadgets, this is it.
>>
>>722659426
>small underpowered piece of shit
It is the most powerful portable device in the market, by far. Comparable to a mid-range gaming laptop.
>>
>>722649058

and my dick is the most powerful portable device ever made, yet nobody wants it even for free. Retarded argument
>>
>>722660638
Your dick has no test run, if nobody wants it, so you can't prove it is the real deal. Meanwhile the GPD5 has gotten benchmarks available and videos of games being maxed out on it.
