do I buy this slop or not?
>>722652628tldr forced women soldiers
>>722652628no. bad company 2 should be the last battlefield you've purchased
>>722652628Yup, only rich white chad bvlls will be playing on launch so you know it will be a fun time
maybe if they finally add a map thats bigger than a football field
If you're really hankering for a new battlefield game I thought the beta made it seem better than any since 1. I'd wait until launch and see if anything is fucked up first, though.
>>722652628fuck no, who the fuck still buys 'early access live service DLC platform yet 90 bucks instead of F2P' scams like this when in the very least you can check in 6 months how it is for 20?fucking golems i swearbut gotta get in whilst its trending on tiktok bro
>giving money to saudisyeah no, that killed me every buying a EA game ever again.
>>722652912Here's a link to reddit.com
You'll get bored in a week when you realize every game is a stomp. EA always puts their BF titles on sale for half off only a couple weeks after launch, wait for that if you are desperate to be disappointed.
>>722652878>you can check in 6 months how it is for 20?because at that point it's filled with people using aimbot and wh
>>722652628Wait until release. They may have hidden some wokeshit like 50% chance of spawning as a woman.
>>722652912remember to dilate
DICE unironically thought it was a good idea to balance weapons around the same metrics as Call of Duty does, like sprint-to-fire speed, aim down sight speed and sprint speed. Past Battlefields didn't have to rely on those shitty metrics, which just makes guns feel awkward, sluggish and inconsistent. What a shame. Also did DICE lose their animators? The reload animations in BF6 and BF2042 (exceptions notwithstanding) look like shit compared to what we saw in BF1 and BF5.
>>722652628I hope I can play it like one month after launch and it's still going. 3 days from release and I'm currently waiting on an RMA replacement on graphics card. I was having issues with running the game on the beta. I had come to conclusion I needed to send my card back in for warranty replacement. So now I'm waiting for them to accept it and it's taking forever.
>>722652628I will do as I've always said I was going to do: I'm going to wait and see what the game is like after release. I'll be paying attention to things like:-weapon balancing-maps-changes that most ppl wanted to see from the beta-performance-bugs-overall response from playerspre-order items are trash, no need for that
>>722652628>retarded matchmaking>maps are teeny tiny even the so called big ones. They made the one ported map smallerThe answer is no.
>buying EA sloplmao
>>722652628Not before launch day, and if you're unsure, and on pc, get the EA pro sub for a month and try it out. By then, if you still like it, it'll probs go on Xmas sale soon so you won't end up paying more.Having said that, I played the beta, liked it, and will buy it on launch or shortly after.
>>722654038>>722652734>>722652878>>722653385these convinced me to not buy it, thanks
>>722654751Someone on youtube said they added server browser
>>722655464That's probably the cod beta which they did
Embargo lifting at release is a huge red flag, operators and weird skins are in too.
>>722655523>operators and weird skins are in too.>+ women soldiersfuck man why can't we have a good game for once?
>>722654751Can someone PLEASE explain to me why "big maps" is a good thing? You really want big maps? You want to spend 7 minutes running from point to point as infantry? You really want to sit around waiting at spawn/base to grab a vehicle (that you might not even be first to)? Then wait even more if you don't get it?I have literally never played any FPS game in my entire life and thought "wow this ginormous map where I barely see any players, have to fight over powered vehicles that back off easily at range and heal quickly, get spammed by air missiles, is so much fun!" Not even one time. Big maps can be fun if they're well designed but are still small enough to actually have fun in. Moving around on foot or in a vehicle is fun, shoot people is fun, taking bases/OBJ is fun. Walking in a straight line across a 20km wide map is not fun.
https://youtu.be/nXc8lJIbWfkthis is from the labs, but they are so quiet about customization
>CoD-tier gun balancing>Autistic class balancing>Entertaining the dumbasses who insist on closed weapons with optional servers, despite it being a feature that adds nothing and is purely still wanted because 'that's what we always had'>Incredibly obnoxious UX and HUD>Shitty character customization because it's a 2020s shooter, already some neon skins, female soldiers>Tacked on campaign with a gay ass premise>LE GENERIC GOOD GUYS VS MERCS!!! XDD instead of just having actual factions>Some maps are literally CoD sizeWow, exciting!
Is anyone interested in trying out the level editor? Apparently you can import vmf files from hammer editor into godot with a plugin and I wanted to at least try to cobble something together
>>722652628It's a trojan horse for corporate malware (Javelin), a botched on-boarding attempt for Win11 (SecureBoot, TPM, VBS, HVCI) and a sales pitch for the latest generation backdoored crippleware (purposely unoptimized trash). It's entire design is centered around facilitating MTX and the necessary power fantasies (open weapons, snuck-in operators via campaign and gender lock, neutered vehicles, self-sufficient classes, EOMM).
>>722655565It wouldn't make sense for a company to learn what is best.
>>722656574Nevermind EA crowdsourcing its development of new games and modes to the 'community'. Anything you create in their editors is by default their property.
>>722655965>who insist on closed weapons with optional serversThe decision to implement open weapons is entirely motivated by MTX, as it mutiplies the number of weapons/skin that can be sold to players who "main" a "class".
>>722652812>rich>$100
>>722656884>rip princess peach's castle from garry's mod workshop>import it to godot>publish it>lose "ownership">call nintendo>ea gets sued and loses millions>repeatThey'll either learn to respect the community or lose their main source of content
>>722656989The motivation doesn't matter. Nothing dictates that any class should be locked to a particular weapon and it actually discourages stuff you do want, like aggressive recons (who's gadgets are often actually really good in cqb) and engineers on large maps. People say it'll lead to meta weapon overuse but that's just an excuse for shitty weapon balancing. A lot of people insist on this dumb BF4 hybrid system at which point you just have to ask why not throw open the system? Does it really matter if an assault that can use ARs, DMRs, shotguns and SMGs can also use LMGs now?
Did they fix the BIOS shit or do I need a mobo that's not older than five years old to play this?
>>722657446There have been instances in the past, e.g.: City of Heroes/City of Villains, in which developers/publishers got sued over user recreations of copyrighted materials. So it's not far fetched. But I still wouldn't waste any original ideas on EA editor.>>722657726>The motivation doesn't matter. It does.>Nothing dictates that any class be locked to a particular weapon and it actually discourages stuff you do wantClosed weapons encourage team play and limit power fantasies (i.e.: the goal of EOMM as catacylst of MTX.). Why rely on your team, if you can throw together a completely self-sufficuent loadout?
>>722652628I'm buying it to play with my normie frens. It's a shame the '83 demo sucks ass. Pretty disappointed famalam.
>>722655584you already have franchises for your preferences
>>722658128I personally can't wait for the inevitable bitching about immortal sniper squads reviving and supplying each other with ammo.
>>722655584Why do you, as infantry-only turboshitter, play games that feature vehicles? There are dozens of games that offer infantry-only gameplay and meatgrinder maps -- why do all games have to be generic copies of another?
>>722658024>Did they fix the BIOS shit There's a workaround I heard about that bypasses mobos needing secure boot but I can't tell you where I heard it from
>>722652628game needs>no female soldiers>movement slowdown when hit>hit punch (especially when zoomed in, snipers should not be able to kill you mid burst after being hit accurately)>headshots that actually do something (rifle = 1 hit kill or close)>nerf accuracy way down when moving/jumping/full auto>FRIENDLY FIRE>FRIENDLY COLLISION BOXES>way slower healing and it should kick in slower>large maps with vehicles and bases>no automatic spotting>less markers in the UI overall, way cluttered right now
>>722658685There'll be a bypass within a week, just like there'll be cheaters.
>>722652628Beta seemed fun, but I'd rather wait for release to see for myself
>>722658842Hold up: there is no collision?
Why cant this shit just be $50?!!!We know the single player campaign is going to be shit anways
>>722658261>'83Wasn't that game abandoned like 5 years ago?
>>722658914not for soldiersat least not in the beta
>>722658985demo for it released yesteday and the game sucks balls
