They should be harder than a blind playthrough on the next highest difficulty imo but most games that have this don't balance around how much easier the game is if you have an idea of what's coming and this game very much falls into that.Puzzles didn't really tickle my brain much either on Lost in the Fog.The story has its cool moments but also has stupid stuff that makes me roll my eyes. Usually R07 can condition me to actually think the eye rolling stupid shit is actually cool in hindsight when further context is later provided but some of the further context in this game just makes things worse.
Someone else said it, but I feel F would've been fine as the first entry to a completely new franchise. The problem is tying it specifically to Silent Hill forces me to keep comparing it to the first 4 games which engaged with the core premise without forcing you to experience a shitty "it was all a dream" ending on your first playthrough.
