Is Xbox actually struggling financially or are customers just getting fucked?
>>722654304>customersXbox doesn't have customers.
Struggles as in it doesn't make M$ 99999 gorillion dollars from milking consumers dry
>>722654304it's customers getting fucked. it's not about the money, microsoft just loves to fuck with the customers, they do it in many ways. it's amazing really, it needs to be studied one day. like this is what happens when you have "fuck you" money.
>multi-trillion dollars companya mystery
They pumped in a ton of money into the business and it doesn't generate enough of a return. Simple as.
>>722654304they are struggling intellectually
>>722654304They wouldn't fuck customers over with price hikes on hardware and Gamepass if they had a sustainable userbase.
>>722654304They're struggling only in that Microsoft may be tired of them being a money pit.
>>722655929I should add "as much", they'd still happen but be less severe.
>>722654304If the stupid fucks didn’t release the Series S then customers would have been forced to buy the real console and they would’ve made some money.
>>722654304xbox wont see a GTA6 release.
>>722654304They're going full 3rd party, this is just speeding up the process
"customers"?
>>722654304It's just the best economic system in history doing what it does best
>>722654304Xbox made 20 billion last year, they make more money than Nintendo. However due to line must always go up, Microsoft wants Xbox to be making more money especially now that AI is the next big thing and MS is heavily focused in that. Financially they are more than fine but they are trying to squeeze out every cent in order to protect their business from shareholders and their short term growth vision.
>>722656040Series S is more popular than the X
>>722654304They are reallocating the Xbox budget to dump down the AI slop arns race black hole. When that bubble pops they will find a new scam.
>>722655929they charge more for stuff when there is bigger demand. If there wasnt enough customers they would lower the price to make it more accessible
>>722656529I believed in stadia. seems like trillion dollar companies don’t have willpower for pet projects because their survival is not at stake if they fail unlike nintendo
>>722656715No shit? That was my point.
>>722655929How is a sustainable user base not more reason to raise prices?
>xbox is now advertising "buying" a game is just a license for when they pull the plug and you lose everything.
>>722656724>>722656942With a large user base you can afford to raise prices slowly and gradually so people will accept it easily. These huge hikes reek of desperation.
>>722657264this is a good thing
>>722654304In the last 5 years, Microsoft spent almost $100 billion USD buying up video game stuff. This is not the behaviour of a struggling brand, but that won't stop our local schizophrenics from thinking their online shitposting killed XBOX.Like, Microsoft has an obscene amount of IP, Phil Spencer has a mansion or two, but (you) can have this be your personality!>>722515213>>722206675>>722553042
>>722656875Sony is releaing their own version of the series s next gen
