Played it on release, liked the twist and moved on to another game
Played it as a kid, finished all the levels, skipped every cutscene, killed everyone that come in epilogue.

I actually enjoy the gameplay.
Yeah, pirated it played about an hour and never touched it again. The gameplay was so generic and boring. Couldn't force myself to continue.

No, since i got it for free from steam years ago, thus i did not felt scammed in the slightest.I also did not self insert as Walker and treated him as his own character.Pretty good story about a schizo going through "the circles of guilt" or PTSD or hell, there is a lot to interprete from all of this to the point that you know Walker is insane, but you aren't sure if he is on site insane or just stuck on his own mind way after the shitstorm.Most of the OST by Cmiral is pretty unique to the point that you can only find it under specs ops theme shit.However, i think its for the best in many ways that this game never gets a sequel or remaster/remake or something shit.For starters, generally people agree that this critiques the average gamer fantasy of killing bad people and feel good about it and mock you for it, but the way it does is on a meta level that feels dishonest and ascinine. Not to mention that buying a product just to get spitted on requires a level of masochism only found in literary fags, not so much on people wanting to have fun with shit, so you are selling a product for a niche market.Second, the development of this shit was said to be a hell too. Artists that aren't used to gore had to work on realistic looking gore, VAs being abused to work for hours until being tired so they can get "realistic fatigue voicelines". I don't think the coders had fun either. Who the fuck would want to work for someone like this? The only people who would want to do this are the only ones who know what they are getting into.You basically end up with a game that very few people likes, and not even the devs themselves seem to like.
This might be the most talked about game that the least amount of people on /v/ have actually played.
