It was a really rough and buggy games at launch, but the patches and expansions devs still had time to make made it turn out okay. I wish more people gave it a chance just to play the campaigns.

If you are fan of yaori, you are fan of Olden Era, simple as. Units designs? They obviously copypasted most of designs from other games they know, like nu-WoW, LoL, nu-Diablo, Starcraft. Factions? Sylvan (Conflux) is proof of devs having no clue what the fuck are they even doing, so far the biggest pile of shite one could ever imagine. Hive? Demonic zergs, bland and samey, with baby Yoda as hero leading the faction. Temple? Pony riders, swordsman (T1) weaker than peasant with piglet (T2), black Whitemane, gryphon which is pecking like a fucking chicken and their interpretation of Angel is pretty much the worst out of all HoMM titles. Dungeon? Obvious redesigns of Night Elf units from W3 & WoW, taurens instead of minotaurs and medusas who gently turn you into stone. Schism? Someone likes hentai with tentacles, one of the heroes even does ahegao. Do horrors beyond human comprehension fit in cartoonish, pegi 7+ world of Olden Era? Lol no. Oh and obviously devs were inspired by Ulduar not Lovecraft. Necropolis is by far the least butchered faction, there is one vampire lady (lady with long ears and cleveage) who ran away to forest so she can fuck undead dogs, cause female devs of Olden Era love to self insert themselves into story. Besides of that, dark knight is poorly designed, vampires shouldn't be T7 unit and I don't buy concept of undead pupperinios.
