I started with Wilds and put 100 hours on it. I really enjoyed the gameplay loop and combat feeling, learning the weapons etc but the story, walk and talk, and even the weird graphics and UI were dragging the game down for me despite feeling there was a good game underneath all that stuff.

So I started Rise and I’m having a blast, it’s distilled pure fun. I might even check older MHs after I’m done with it.

the savage omega gear is kinda meh but neat but the bale set is edge kino with blackest night
omega is fun to fight too since he has so many tricks, you really want evade extender to roll out of the patterns on the floor

if you're over hr100 support hunters will get you through normal and savage make sure to enable kai and alessa as support hunters since kai will give you buffs and alessa will take aggro
in arena 2 when he goes into pankraptor FOCUS THE FUCKING LEGS
same goes for arena 4 too
for nercylla bring a fire or paralysis weapon to swap too then grab the crystal burst slinger ammo in arena 3, if you hit it while its in the air with the ammo it'll be knocked down for a bit, also you might want to use rocksteady mantle for nercylla too
bring cleansers for savage
and get evade extender 3

Start the first area by dropping a Pictomancy on Omega
Keep breaking head wounds for free shield
When it spams MRV roll with EE or ride the chocobo
Kick the Marlboro Seedlings and get away from the puddle to paralyze the Nerscylla, kick the Cactuar for free 1000 damage, save the 3rd Pictomancy for when the Nerscylla spawns
