It's a multiple enemy fight but killing the hands fast enough to not worry about his big attacks is pretty important. I think it's also mostly a physical damage fight so high def mons will last much longer. I'd also suggest if you're still struggling to check the outer dungeons you might have unlocked. IIRC there's a dinohyumon in one of them that should be decently statted.
