Should I give CP another try? The last time I played it was on release day, and the bugs/gunplay made it extremely unfun, but my friend told me it's not even close to the same game anymore. Also, is the DLC necessary?
>>722659693No, you should play Shadow Run on the Sega Mega Drive instead.
>>722659693Guns are relatively the same but they reworked the perk tree. DLC isn't mandatory but it probably has the best story/gameplay out of the entire game but you don't need it immediately
>>722659693nah i hear that shit's illegal nowcyberpunk is pretty good now dough, i didn't play until after the engoodening so i don't have the same frame of reference as you do but it was a great time and held together mostly fine save for a couple visual bugs and texture fade
>>722660140Fuck. The gameplay really is awful.. I was using a katana mostly too and it was really unfun.
>>722659693Like the others said, the DLC is pretty dope but not required at the start. You can finish the game and cop the dlc after, as it lets you create a ne character that's like lvl 20 or something, starting directly from where the entry mission to the dlc is given to you. You skip the entire intro and parts of act 1.
>>722660293Yeah just spamming melee is kinda boring, it's the skills that can use melee that are actually fun. Phantom Liberty has a couple fun augments you can get for melee too
>>722659693
>>722659693HANKHAAAAAANK
I made the mistake of giving it another shot back in a April. no amount of updates can fix the shitty writing. just play something else.
>>722659693The gunplay is legitimately not the strong point of CP2077. Playing Cyberpunk as a FPS is like playing TES without any magic/scrolls/enchants. It's possible for the hardcore RP'er, but the entire game wasn't designed for that kind of play.
>>722661089Then what is? I hated the melee too.
>>722660382If you're going to complete the game before dlc (as you should) why would you make a new character
>>722659693Why wouldn't you? It's a story game with passable combat but the "magic"/hacking system is the best part. It completely out does all Elder Scrolls magic systems, including spell crafting. When you're using it, you feel like an OP wizard, exactly how you'd expect someone with magic to be.
>>722659693i skipped the game completely until earlier this when i played it fully patched and with the DLC. honestly? fucking game slaps. i dumped 300 hours into it over two playthroughs. i played as a cyber ninja type with a katana and the slow-mo shit and goddamn i really enjoyed it. the city is unmatched - it makes up for the lack of enterable buildings by simply being enormous enough you dont really notice. the setting is quite compelling too, there is nothing else out there quite like it
>>722659693>daily threaduse the fucking archive you dumb cunt
>>722660948this game has some of the best written quests in the business
>>722661474uh oh melty
>>722661138You mix guns, melee and quickhacks. You can swap out the biochip (I can't recall the in-universe name) for one that is purely melee or gunplay oriented, but that's a cop out for people that want to play that style. The default, designed way is to use quickhacks to give you a tactical advantage. Melee works really well when you can beat an opponent in a few hits, and many enemies will rush you. The enemies with avestan (or whatever - the augment that makes them run really fast) can't be easily shot anyway and you'll have to melee these unless you just decided to tank them. Shooting works really well for enemies that keep their distance, nethackers, etc. The challenge is appraoching groups of enemies and devising a tactical strategy that allows you to win a lopsided fight without just spamming grenades and automatic fire. I will admit that the combat side of the game got weaker in 2.0 when they removes all the elemental and most of the status affecting stuff. So, maybe play PL if you just want a spectacle and a story, and 1.6 if you want a stat-based RPG experience in combat.
>>722660819Came here to post this kek
>>722659693stop fucking abbreviating this game's title
Not sure if it's the setting itself but it didn't feel especially cyberpunky to me.
>>722659693>Should I give CP another try?No, you should not. Seek help.
>>722659693It's good with raytracing. I stopped playing as not to spoil it.
>>722660819reddit meme
>>722659693BLACKHOLESLIVING IN THE SIDE OF YOUR FACE
>>722661627You can't swap fast enough to play both with a gun and melee and you won't get the chance when you're surrounded by enemies
>>722659798Tun tun tunSchattenlauf?Tun tun tuuunSchattenlauf?
It's my favorite game. I've played it for thousands of hours, but I'm not going to recommend it. Play something else.
>>722661583He's kind of right, you post the same shit thread everyday. And it's usually a fucking awful thread. I don't even hate the game. But I do hate you.
>>722659693Go watch Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Then you will play the game just to kill a certain character.
>>722659693The sooner that you accept that it's never going to be the game that they promised, you can enjoy it for the game that it is. After patches, DLC and mods it's a solid 9.
>>722667630Funny but I don't really have any hatred towards him. He just did his job.
