Why did this game completely fall apart and lose almost all of it's initial momentum?I tried playing this with my friends recently to try the recent update and none of them gave a remote shit about it even though they were moaning about how they had nothing they wanted to play from their library, and later went on to say that REPO was better just because it has guns.I get that all friendslop games are like this but this was one of the few that to me had a really unique gameplay loop that genuinely felt challenging without being soulless in it's direction to attract the highest common denominator. Why does no one care about it anymore? What does it not do that others need from it?
People played it an exhausted the content and then moved on to other thingsthe end
Wow it's almost like friendslop only has hype behind it and the fundamental gameplay loop falls apart once the initial wave of popularity passes
Because it was the kind of game your friend or eceleb pressured you to play and not something you yourself actually found intriguing.
>>722660953lets players and streamers milked the fuck out of it to the point everyone was sick of hearing about it after a week.
>>722660991real, factual, non-shitpost answer is that the creator refused to capitalize on the popularity of the game. instead of focusing on pumping out new content for lethal company, he's working on another game.
>>722660953Because it's a flavor of the month streamerbait game. It kept going for a while because of the new updates, but eventually it run out of steam, as expected.
>>722660953For Lethal Company it's literally just a lack of updates, and said updates really not having much content. Ever since the initial explosion in popularity, there has been>2 new "levels">3 new enemies, 4 if you count the one that got removed later>A carThe progression basically never left "get money to earn quota to make more money to earn more quota" which made players basically either give up on it, or try to milk it as much as possible with mods. I'm personally still waiting for the drill underneath the company building to actually be useable, because a secondary objective at all would make the game a lot more enjoyable. Right now, having played it with some (frankly too obsessed) friends, the game really just has you going through the motions after a while.Oh yeah and I guess it's not being streamed anymore or something. That'd contribute to it not being discussed probably.
>>722661251>he's working on another gameSaid game is apparently coming out for free on the 24th this month, so it's safe to say Lethal Company's success has set him for life if he's not trying to make more money off his games. Shame he can't provide for the game people actually know him for.
