How much of a mouth breather does someone have to be to enjoy modern open worlds?
>walk on an empty grass field
>shoot a few bad guys
>collect loot
>craft shit
I actualy like non linear game design but this is just lazy.
>>
>walk on empty grassfield
>next 3 greentext lines are doing stuff in said 'empty grass field'
I think you're the mouth breather in question.

Nah the empty grassfields are between the other content.

What are the examples of good open world games?

>early access
>survival
>crafting
What else?

Deus Ex MD had a great hub area. Metro Exodus has two open world sections but is otherwise linear. On second thought i can't think of any real open world games that are good.

Given that open world stories are self contained as to not force an overlapping narrative, you have to be pretty retarded.
Even Skyrim, the thing that really brought open worlds to the most gamers, has these problems where you can be the head of something (and everything) and yet it holds no narrative weight.

Dragon's Dogma and S.T.A.L.K.E.R

Why am I supposed to hate this again?

>Dragon's Dogma
Good lord no, that was the absolutely worst part of the game. It's a literal 0/10 whenever it's not in a dungeon
