The female villian is actually the main character's step-sister, she's salty that he inherited the mecha suit and that their father loved him more, while leaving the daughter and dooming her to the life of crime. (that's why she destroyed the Mecha-Man's suit in the first place)The old speedster guy will sacrifice himself in the end by using his powers one last time in order to safe the main hero, which helps the Mecha-Man to defeat his sister. Maybe the speedster does not die right away, but it is implied that he only has a few weeks left to live. I hope I'm wrong and we won't get a family drama as the main plot line
