I didn't think it was very fun. The setup of you being fucking broke could have been a cool way to lead you into picking up some work from some of the local businesses and then work your way up, but in practice you just either sell potions or steal shit

The beginning is the hardest part, Henry can hit like a truck later on with good gear.The combat is more about being patient and looking for and creating openings.First off you can completely ignore combos (in both games) until you're comfortable with the other aspects of combat.Keep your opponents in view and try to put bodies between yourself and their archers, don't get surrounded.Me mindful of your stamina and remember that a perfect parry doesn't drain your stamina so you can tire out opponents that way and then push the advantage.KCD1's combat is basically just master-strikes because as soon as you fight anyone competent you'll quickly realize that you're better off playing defensively because otherwise they'll master srtrikes on you. It's not that fun.But in KCD2 as long as you don't attack from the direction opposite of where your enemy is guarding it's impossible for them to master strike you so you have a lot more control over the fight and it's more fun.If you really want to style on your opponents and completely break the combat system don't wear too much armor and instead learn to dodge: parrying and then following up with your own attack is likely to lead to a parry from your opponent but when you dodge to their side they are completely open to an attack. If they have a shield protecting their left you can dodge to their right after they attack and then hit them more easily.Once you learn that tempo of dodging and hitting the combat becomes trivial outside of 1-vs-many or in super tight spaces.Later on you'll learn to recognize the audio cues for enemy attacks so you'll be able to dodge attacks from enemies a that are off-screen.Use master strikes, they can't be blocked/parried, some of them deal tons of damage and can end a fight in one master strike and a followup hit.
