Learn how to ID items by testing them on your friends. Save items you know can be used to recruit useful friends and plan around that. You can also recognize some items via price they sell for in the shop.

Though you will always lose all the rest of your items on hand when you die. You are given the option to buy it back from the black market at an incredible mark up, but it's usually not worth it. Everything aside from your main equipment is pretty easily replaceable.

Is this game harder than Shiren 5/6? Easier? About the same, perhaps? Is it as deep in terms of inventory management and strategy? That's the thing that appeals to me in Shiren, the selection of meaty postgame dungeons with no carry-in items.
