I'm 24 and my mom is still overprotective, I didn't even know how to cook spaghetti until I did it behind her back because she doesn't want me to cook.My dad wasn't present in my formative years and I had to learn many things on my own, like shaving, riding a bicycle or how to use a hammerI love them but they really screwed me up for life, I still felt like a teenager in my 20s until I finally got a job a month ago, because they enabled my NEET life.

i have everything i need. a job, video games, friends. yet over the years i've become bored of this lifestyle of work then play video games with friends. should i pursue "normal" things in life like marriage or keep living with this emptiness inside? keep in mind, doing anything like that will put a financial and mental strain but i guess it will "challenge" me and make life a bit more interesting. i'm just concerned that i don't "want" these things and by pursuing them i will bail and take a hit to my mental health. man why am i asking this on v of all places....
