She IS the pragmatic choice given the Absolute cult situation. She's often aware how fucked up the Drow society is and sometimes even laughs after hearing her speak on the traditions out loud - realizing how insane it all is. She's also not an edgelord, as she can be heard saying things like: "It's a sharp mind that recognizes the unnecessary suffering of another - not a soft heart." Anyway, I don't understand how people play the same bg3 run multiple times over. There's a ton you miss out on. Fuck Halsin, Kagha should have been the druid companion. She was perfectly poised to have a redemption arc after her behavior in the Grove.
I guess I gotta thank Diablo or Fallout or Rogue or whatever for not making rests not be an actual part of the game (just waiting out of combat until you're healed instead) and replacing spell slots with mana costs. Shit adds nothing to the strategy since you can camp infinitely but breaks the pacing massively.
