You anons HAVE been working on your game right?
>>723009217that fucker toby doesn't deserve to be there, fucking imbecile, tendo has FALLEN
>>723009217I need to setup IK and FK Snapping then I can start animating my character. If, after this project, I keep doing 3D I'll have to buy that one rigging addon that does it all for you in the future, this shit is tedious and ass.
>>723009217>working on your gameAfter leaving the project behind for a few months, yes, new halloween fueled inspiration struck me.
Should I forgo solo dev for now and try working in a team? How easy is it to get into a team indie project?
>>723011087>get into a teamLook for teams that just released their games. Search for games that are bad in whatever you're good at such as games with nice systems but awful graphics if you can draw/model or games with nice visuals that are buggy pieces of crap if you can code.Just make sure you're ok with not receiving money for a while.
had a lengthy talk with my parents after i lost my job and they keep telling me indie gamedev is just some far-off dream and that i should quitthey're probably right and thats the worst parti want a do-over on my life
>>723009217no I keep working on everything except the game part, and it's led to some self-discovery and a lot of shame
>>723009217John Egbert sitting next to Sakurai
>>723009217Is it bad I confused kodaka for tetsuya nomura in that pic
the last supper
>>723011373>letting your parents set boundaries on your adult life and dreamsyou need a do-over desu

>>723011373They never listened to their parents so why should you?
>>723009567Kodaka*
Toby got married!
>>723009217Last week:
>>723009217what do they talk about
>>723012791This week:

>>723012870Looks wonderful. gj
>>723009217I might start because I sense a gap in the game world
>>542274804I think it's more likely that he's cute just to better appeal to the SOUL. Kris probably knows this and tries not to hold it against him, but it still freaks them out, hence why they seem more distant early on.
>>723012870why she's here
>>723009217Kodaka is forgiven, he created Kyoshika.
>>723012883But you're gonna stealer it...
>>723013143no i won'ti'm not making anything
>>723013134This is just my workshop/prototype scene (environment & pawn) so that I can start coding up game systems. The theme is a Goddess filled Academy so she works for now
>>723012734>faglexaâ„¢, enhance.
>>723013273Don't believe you. Gonna kill you instead.
>>723012734Hopefully to a woman
>>723011373your parents are right, you can do that as a side thing but a stable job should be your first priority
Why are japanese devs on a first name basis? Why have they formed this secret group for themselfs?
>>723011373You need to hedge your bets, to at least get a part time job while you work on your game. You should NEVER be in a position as a solo/indie dev where you're burning through your savings while desperately working on a project hoping that it'll bring in income once its finished. I believe in you anon and it's not a far off dream, but it is a marathon.
>>723014136>>723012734He married Temmie
>>723011373>had a lengthy talk with my parents after i lost my job and they keep telling me indie gamedev is just some far-off dreamGet a job, or go get welfare, do your gaming/coding on the side
>>723013138Kodaka is based as fuck for making Hundred Line and the only people who seethe at him are people who hated the V3 ending. Also Eva best girl
>>723012734Congratulations Temmy and Toby!
>>723015662>standard day job with programming on the side as a hobbynta but I'm considering this

I've been experimenting all day with local language models and their NPC interpretation capabilities.I have to admit I'm amazed at the ability of a local model to interpret a character and the creativity that a model like Mistral displays.I have a lot of ideas, but it's terribly slow and misinterprets intentions.
>>723018861B-B-BUT AI BAD!!!!!!
>>723015142>10>12
>>72301514220. Hideo Kojima, he's taking the photo because he invented the camera
>>723018861>I have to admit I'm amazed at the ability of a local model to interpret a character and the creativity that a model like Mistral displays. The lag is always going to be an interaction killer. Inworld used to have a pretty good game-focused solution for Unity where you'd type a character sheet for each NPC and it'd be good to go, but they seem to have pivoted to corporate stuff since. There's still some examples: https://docs.inworld.ai/docs/node/templates/multimodal-companion#option-2-run-the-full-application-with-unity-client
>>723009217no lol
