Base game elder scrolls necromancy is really boring and shitty but there are tons of mods that make it very cool, I know skyrim has mods that require you to harvest bones from your enemies to make permanent skeleton companions that you can customize as well as mods that add a full on lich transformation like the werewolf and vampire transformations.

Blood bowl 2 is an odd one and I don't know if people still play it online but it was really pvp focused and if you managed to kill a player on the enemy team you could raise them back up as a skeleton or zombie and they would keep most of their experience and skills they had

I appreciate the effort, but at this point it's like recommending Diablo 2 — everyone knows it already.

Ah a fellow dedicated scribe of the dark arts I see, you know as well as I do that we are bone bare on good necromancy games sadly then.... graveyard keeper is fine in my opinion for it, but it is a bit tedious until you start making your first reanimated servants.

Zorbus has simple, but effective Necro gameplay.
My only issue with it is that it's not really a build that you can use for no loop Overgod runs, but there's no issue whatsoever for everything else

I know the scarcity of the content full well however my good friends on /v/ whom I trust completely and utterly always tend to surprise me with obscure games with features only I care about like Unferat for example. I recently beat Necromancer's Tale as well, pretty jank but soulful game and the necromancy system there is pretty deep.
>>
>>723244042
I played the demo, is it worth playing the full game?
>>
>>723243665
Necromancy usually requires you to do rude things to people's bodies, including enslaving people's souls and or bodies to do your work. it's unethical and illegal.
Now, Conjuration is totally fine when you can suddenly teleport some air elemental bitch mid-taking a bath to act as an AC for your room for 24 hours with no payment for the service or regard to laws.
>>
>>723245347
I played the demo and was totally unimpressed by it but the full game is an excellent necromancer game (while being an okay game in general), all the story beats you expect from a game about dark arts are there. It's slow burn and you reanimate your first minion 3 hours into the story and combats tend to be pretty simplistic so it's not for everyone but if you like RPGs with a lot of reading, you'll like it.
>>
>>723245508
So you're making an argument that summoning a soulless automaton made of air is ethical is legal, what if I make a golem from animal bones with no soul? Isn't it the same exact thing? What if a dying man consented to me using his corpse and soul after his death (some people IRL give their bodies for lab experiments as well, you know)?
>>
>>723245634
oh I liked the demo quite a lot but was unsure if it would continue at that level or drop off.
if you found it unimpressive and then still enjoyed it then I guess I will definitely play it.
>>
>>723245775
a man consenting for free eternal service under you, willingly? sounds fishy.
I said elemental, not golem, they're sentient and have their own life going on. golems are always legal, even the ones made by flesh and bones from others, as they're dead and those are just resources now, given the right respects. Necromancy however is
ah forget it, all magic schools are rapey and should be illegal.
>Conjuration can slave labour
>Transmutation can do filthy shit
>Illusion and Enchantment anything
>Divination peeping
>Necromancy
Only Evocation is ok, because they're just WMDs at worst.
>>
>>723246256
If magic existed we'd have international conventions and other regulations and laws that some countries would break or ignore and those without something like necromancy and evocation would be at a severe disadvantage (no nukes and free labor).

>a man consenting for free eternal service under you, willingly?
"People" in Africa would sell their daughters or themselves into slavery for $1000, anon.
