Game is turn based and doesn´t have a world map. It introduces something called the sphere grid (which is a chore to min max) and the mini games for the ultimate weapons may make you want to off yourself. Also the ending is a tearjerker but you should never play X-2 no matter how much you believe you want to. Incidentally you´d be better off playing VII, VIII or IX instead but that´s none of my business.
