If you want some real nightmare fuel, reminder that at one point Harmony Gold had the distribution rights to the original Dragonball anime. They gave up on it when their dub test failed but there's an alternate timeline when they have just as much of a stranglehold on Dragonball in the west as they do Macross

It adapts (in order) Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and the unrelated Genesis Climber Mospaeda. This was done because Harmony Gold got the rights to all three shows but none of them had enough episodes for syndication, so they chopped them up and tried to present all three plots as one continuous narrative across multiple generations. It is absolutely not the way to watch any of these shows in the modern day but it had its place in history in bringing attention to anime in the west.There's also some original post-Robotech (so post-Mospaeda) material such as comics and books, some of which I hear is actually alright but I've never looked into it. Harmony Gold has been copyright trolling Macross for forty years under the guise that they want to do more stuff with the Robotech IP, but most of what they've attempted this and last decade has failed to get off the ground.Also Japan heard about Robotech while it was airing and made fun of it in magazines a few times, pic is a fake announcement that Harmony Gold was going to adapt Gundam into an original American story
