Slipstream is really strong. Even without any gadgets, slipstream let's you go to 235 with drift boosts AT 0 rings. Now factor in gadgets and it's a bit insane how much it lets players constantly overtake eachother over and over.

One of the reasons frontrunning is so hard (and why the pack is so close together) is the amount of shortcuts in the game that are actively detrimental to you unless you have a boost in hand, which 1st place has very little access to unless they hold it. Donpa Factory is a great track because the two main shortcuts don't require a boost if you're skilled enough, which makes navigating them even in first place really rewarding.
