Best you can do is install Peaker to decrease the max velocity of players who are spazzing out, ItemSpawner to spawn items that randomly disappear and Advanced Console to teleport players who get stuck in the void after they reconnect.

Rushing ahead is fine but you can't forget the main objective, I don't mind when Squink takes the flare and ninjas his way out on his own. Kiln is brutal when there is no food and we had none, staying behind to help is more likely to doom the run. Not securing the flare is the bigger issue.
