>in the early 2010s a job in video game QA was considered the ultimate dream job that every body wanted
Twitch replaced it
>>723444851>Game Journalists used to be respected>Cut to now and they're seen as a complete jokeWhat happened?
>>723445008>burgers and fries
>>723444851THEY CHEATED ARIN HANSON
>>723444851Testers got shit pay.
>>723445008Because now we know how fucking bad they actually are at games. Journalist mode is a thing for a reason

>>723445191Fuck, it's really been that long.

>>723445353Would
>>723444851It's because most people didn't even realize what Q&A actually did. When I was a teen I thought it was my dream job too, playing videogames as a job. Then I got older and realized they just force you to play the same shitty level over and over and over 1,000 times and if something breaks, you're forced to try and get that same bug/glitch over and over and over again. The pay is shit and you basically get treated like a fucking indentured servant, honestly sounds like pure hell.
>>723444851lmao this is really funny to think about in hindsight
>2010>You had to win a gameshow to be a QA tester and get paid a pathetic amount>2013>You can buy any Early Access game, paying to beta test
The cast of the egoraptor season is permanently imprinted into my brain
