What's your favorite faction in Dragon Age: The Veilguard? You didn't play a boring Grey Warden, right?
>implying I played this garbage
>>723457202>playing Failguardshit, I'm the target audience for that qunari bitch's mental breakdowns and even I won't touch it
why is everything purple in this game? don't answer it was a rhetoric.
>>723457202I'm a devoted follower of the uninstall wizard
*growls sexily*
>>723457202>You didn't play a boring Grey Warden, right?I didn't 'play' at all.
>>723457202The elf faction in the forest. For the life of me I barely remember anything about this game except for how much of a slog the end-game was despite solving combats like 20 hours ago
>>723457202i like the nortubel faction
i hope you are posting these from game pass
>>723457202>antivan crows used to be a cruel and ruthless assassin group, forcing abandoned children and orphans and turning them into killing machines, seductors and other scummy stuff>if you fail you get either killed or tortured>in SLOPGUARD they got white washed into Le good and righteous Robin hood Mafia, only killing le bad people and helping the empire from the shadow>and the major storyline allow you to spare the traitor that commited high treason in the guild (when a random low tier grunt who failed used to be brutally murdered) with everyone in the room CLAPPING at how merciful you are
>>723457202I PLAYED A GREY WARDEN! mwaahhahaha
For how shit dragon age went after Awakening, I really, really like the whole tarot card art the series started doingI struggled to give a shit about DA2 and dropped inquisition after 30 minutes but I will at least give whatever art team member who did them credit for doing the only memorable thing in the game to me
>>723457831That's not the correct choice. Start again from the beginning.
>>723457805My rook admitted to being tortured by them as a child during lucanis' mission and then it was never brought up again lolBest "revenge" I could achieve was letting their city get kwabbed
>you can join the anti slavery underground movement, fighting the good fight against the tyrannical state>there actually isnt any slavery depicted in gameIts funny how they unintentionally depicted the most honest version of progressive movements ever
>Solavellan ending has Lavellan getting cucked by Mythal and getting blightraped for eternityI knew I should have chosen Cullen
>>723457202An honest question: Besides all the meme and cringe compilations, is this a good game? Is is it fun to play?
>>723459348Eh. It hits a baseline level of competence and isn't outright unfun to play or anything, but it's a bit too simple and easy. Has some decent visuals and depending on your class combat can feel pretty nice and dynamic. I'll even be bold and say not ALL of the plot is bad, I liked the stuff with the necromancer guy even if it was kinda disney-fied it at least was trying to say something about death and how people deal with it. The shit with qunari is just as bad as people meme about it though, and the main plot is pretty fucking garbage. Overall I still liked what I was doing enough to beat it, so I'd rate it at an extremely tepid 5.5/10.
>>723459348At best a 6/10, its okay enough to maybe last 1 playthrough if you really aren't expecting much but I've been engaged by a lot of other games more than this. The novelty or what little of it of the combat fades very fast, and it's an insult to even call your companions party members due to being a glorified assist button that sometimes chimes in. RPG dialogue is very minimally impactful or interesting and the skill tree is minor bonuses until you get to a node that actually does something. By midway through the game you've kinda seen everything in terms of combat and your build was probably complete hours ago. Honestly the worst thing I could say about that is I agree with the mindset of dudes who turned down the difficulty of the game in the back half, not because it was hard but just because fights that were basically won the moment they stepped in would take an inordinate amount of time to clear. I can't call the game unfun, but I wouldn't call it fun either, just kinda okayAbout the funniest thing about this game is that it did prove that people were right to be racist against the elves in DA.
>>723457202Playing gayguard. That's a hearty kek my op. Have a (you) for your effort.
>>723459348I thought the combat and levels were fun. I'd say it's easily the most enjoyable DA game if you take writing out of the equation.Only complaint I have is that the legendary upgrade for my spellblade's main weapon was a straight up downgrade that made me attacks cost mana and made me rely on abusing time warp to not go oom (wtf)
I dunno if it's better or not that the game is no longer fresh in my head but from what I could recall of the companions>Harding: Somehow got worse compared to inquisition but still not that bad, a victim of the everyone has to be super unique trend in the companions>Neve: I'll be honest I forgot all about her. I'd probably say she was normal but that implies she left an impression>Bellara: I'm a proud elf-fucker but I almost regretted romancing her. Very energetic and touched with the tism but still falls into endearingly scatterbrained/cute than outright annoying>Lucanis: The guy I was already slotting into my party ahead of the game's release. Veilguard uniqueness syndrome and crow lore assassination aside, he was okay just that he was useless for my mage rook>Davrin: Earned a party slot for "synergy" and also because the alternative was taash, and because team elf was a funny theme. Genuinely hate his design(looks more like a normal black human with elf ears than a black elf, lack of armor for a warden[doubly inexcusable when the game has out of field casual outfits]) but his personality was alright. Same with neve that he's kinda generic and morally north but has more fatherly/experienced tones on account of his uniqueness liability>Emmerich: I honestly have nothing bad to say about him. He's a chill dude I would have liked to be in my party but double mage does not have synergy. I felt invested in turning his ass into a lich>Taash: Poor first impression, and even after doing all her stuff to make sure no one dies in the finale I still don't care for her
>>723457202>What's your favorite faction in Dragon Age: The Veilguard? You didn't play>You didn't playcorrect.
>>723457202List the factions and describe them and I'll tell you which one I'd theoretically choose.
>>723457202grey wardens of course>wisest rook>emotional baggage and character development from wessiupt >davrin bromance
>>723463874weisshaupt*
>>723457202What's the correct term for push-ups?
>>723463723As you wish>>723463874You're objectively wrong, pick something else
>>723459348fun gameplay mediocre companions okay story 7/10 i remember some parts
I'm still shocked that Taash was romanced more than Harding and Bellara
>>723464065Grey Wardens
>>723458330>letting their city get kwabbedEveryone blaming you for a dragon attack was some of the most contrived writing I have ever seen. Absolutely hilarious.
>>723464228>1) Neve>2) Lucanis>3) Taash>4) Harding>5) Bellara>6) Davrin>7)EmmerichJust looked it up jesus you weren't joking. Alright what the fuck, how is Taash number 3? Also just looking at the other stats my goody-two-shoes rook was apparently not choosing the popular option in terms of companion quest outcomes.
>>723459348No, it really isn't, the whole game is like watching an amateur school play
>>723457202Sorry, I'm non-buynary
>>723464342Not an option. Don't make me tear down Weisshaupt again
>>723457202Kill yourself.
>>723457202Antivan Crows, for obvious +1 healing potion.
>>723465325if veilguard was actually difficult and not just tedious that would matter, but as it is there are more than enough potion refill urns
