Digimon look more powerful and intimidating. Most ultimates and megas look like they could kill Pokemon. Pokemon tend to be more cute, silly, and elegant. There are some like exceptions like Gyarados, but they are rare.

Problem is that the way this anger is directed isn't truly about the game itself. I have 2 reasons on why they are review bombing it. First reason is that this is an aftereffect from Scarlet and Violet. While many will say it was from Sword and Shield because of dexit, I'll say that it was a bomb that cause started this mess today. After SV buggy release, people REALLY got mad a Gamefreak for given them a broken game and that cause them to be in a negative light. However, ZA wasn't release extremely broken (if it even is) as Scarlet and Violet, so why this further anger. That brings me to my second reason, the lawsuit against Palworld. Nintendo right now is already hated for many things, and the Palworld laesuit is not doing them any favor. If you go into a single ZA video and look at the comments, there is at least one guy talking about it. So, the way I see it, it's just blind rage that everyone is sending at Gamefreak and Nintendo and not given a real reason they should hate the game. I agree that it should be presented better, but that doesn't mean it should bombed over outside things. And it doesn't help that Digimon just came out recently as well.
