I decided to look and compare how some of my favorite manga (Dr Slump, Yotsuba&, and Mitsuboshi Colors) do panels. And space between panels vertically is large, but horizontal panels are supposed to be almost touching. Just a small adjustment since I don't want to redraw the whole page, but bringing the top panels closer definitely makes it closer to the aforementioned manga. Also the fact that it's universal between all 3 of them tells me this is probably the manga standard and I just never noticed. I guess since a page is longer than it is wide, it makes sense for the gaps to differ in size.

I think it's just a matter of structuring the features in the sphere of the face, which might need you getting used to a lighter touch on pencils first. I'm assuming her nose being bigger than in the games is an intentional choice (if not, then correct that), but you could do things such as aligning the nose and mouth more to center (they're not perfectly centered on mine since having a bit of leeway makes for a good feel, but you want it to be in a close range). dunno, does this make any sense? that said, the drawing it at all really is the more important part. just draw more shantaes, maybe try copying official art and thinking "how did they construct this? what construction lines did they maybe use?" etc, etc. In school I used to trace over photos in schoolbooks just to try and get a vibe for how to construct a head, a lot

The nose shouldn't be entirely on the center line because what you're drawing is the outline, and the outline would be jutting out, etc, right? It's why I mentioned more "aligning more to center"- push them in that direction, but not necessarily entirely. You can have the mouth pull more to the side, but it'll probably look better if it's "close to center even if to the side" vs "way too far into the side". As you say, down to style though.

Make the body and limbs flow, exaggarate the S shape of spine, make the shoulders and hips curve more, show what the character is feeling, where do their different parts of body direct them to.
