As someone who is the same way, not really. They are different objectives and general atmosphere. Hell if I'm playing, say peak or something and for some reason someone knocked me over sending me plummeting over 300 yards down the mountain or some shit, very worst case scenario I can remove myself without a large fear or repercussion (personally scenarios like that are hilarious unless they happen so often you can never do anything). Meanwhile often times games like LoL especially punish players for leaving, and ultimately ban your account that has a bunch of sunk cost shit on it.

Back when I played league, some piece of shit could leave and you could be stuck in a game where one of your team mates did not connect, and you were stuck in a 4v5 for 20 minutes at LEAST without any kind of prayer yet still fear of reprecussion. I can only hope this system has been changed. Pve co-op games have no such threat of ramifications. If you think you will be a cunt socially it's a lot easier to remove yourself from the situation worst case scenario

He refused to spend any time at all in training mode or even read movelists, and he would still get super pissy whenever he’d lose to me in any fighting game. He would still insist we play, too. Even if you're in the minority that do, you're still being put in a match with 4 other people that don't on your team and will rage at you if you're not playing to win, that will eventually wear you out and at that point you're either addicted to the MMR grind and turn into one of them or you're not, uninstall and complain on reddit the community is toxic. Try to tell yourself 'be cool' as you play when you feel it coming on, actually, just do it regardless before you even start raging until it's a habit. It helps a surprising amount. Even better if you can force yourself to start complimenting people in your head and, assuming you don't, genuinely try your hardest to look for your own mistakes. Prioritize them over other peoples. That'll not only help with raging but will make you improve way faster. I don't give a shit if you barely lost a 1v5 clutch, you bite your tongue, and you think about how you could have won it. I don't give a shit if your teammate lost a 1v1 you'd win any day of the week, you tell him 'nice try'. You need to go into games with the intention of changing your mentality. You go into a match and you stare at your opponent thinking about how you're going to anti-air that fucker, he might be twerking all over you that doesn't matter, because you're gonna anti-air that motherfucker when he jumps until you finally do and you keep doing that until you start needing to focus less on it.

If that fails, start thinking about it from the outside and internalizing how you come off like a retard and make everybody feel awkward and have less fun. Like it might not even be a bad idea to record yourself and play back a video of when you raged. In Dokapon you can legitimately undo, with relative ease or RNG, actual hours of progress or strokes of incredible luck on opponent players.
People will not react well to you actually just wasting their time and resetting the gamestate or their gear.

There's even a way to know which card is First and Second in Combat thanks to a glitch so if you know that trick and you're not a complete fuck-up in gear and leveling you autowin.

Also the same here, played League for 6 years straight. Made it to Diamond I, but I was literally a different person when I played that game.
Constant trash talk, spamming emotes solely to trigger or piss off the enemy, going on absolutely insane schizobabble tangents if someone dared say anything to me or complain.
I then started intentionally griefing and leaving matches if someone did a single thing to piss me off while gloating in chat about it. I had constant 20 min timers between matches or chat timeouts.

Weirdly, most PvP games i'm still fine with. It's just ones with a "long" term season/rank feature. I tried out Marvel Rivals and I was starting to act the same there so I quit.
But outside of those types of games i'm incredibly relaxed and don't care at all if a friend fucks up.
