Every area barring some random bandit camps are designed around stealth and parkour as a focus, and even in those bandit camps that are more combat-oriented they still provide ways to mostly get around and kill a decent amount of people without having to resort to time slow or exposing yourself.The only downside of the system is that rooftops can't be climbed by enemies unless they have ladders leading to them which is extremely rare, and so if you're ever detected you can run to a rooftop, prone, turn on Eagle Vision, and then shimmy around until they lose their aggro that you can assassinate them again and repeat this whenever you're caught. If they had rooftop climbing for 1 and 2 bar enemies then the stealth system would be perfectly balanced.You do have to play on Nightmare though, I cannot imagine easier difficulties because it makes you play more carefully and learn how to assassinate people prior to getting the silent footsteps passive armor since they can hear your footsteps and do a 180 to see who is sneaking up on them. Once you get silent footsteps you're very overpowered even on Nightmare, and time slow is so broken in both Valhalla and especially Shadows (Not so much Odyssey) that it makes some encounters essentially free as you can just throw kunai and instakill people during the time slow, stab someone who noticed you to extend its time period, and then throw some more kunai as you assassinate another guy if kunai aren't a concern for you. Nightmare also makes two segments (Assassinating the first Onryo and the intro to Nobunaga's castle infiltration) have enemies nearly instantly detect you which can be a bit frustrating but it's so rare for that to happen.

Yasuke is unironically the best written character in this game's story. While Naoe had the typical Asscreed protagonist revenge plot, Yasuke's perspective as a foreign slave given a second chance at life by Nobunaga and having to adapt to the Japan's politics and culture, and how his past ties to the assassins and templars present there was far more interesting in comparison. I just wish Ubislop would drop this non-linear narrative thing they've been doing since Odyssey, this shit only hurts these games' stories, gameplay-wise it's not interesting enough to be able to go after whatever target I want because, narrative-wise it's terrible because no major character or development can happen in any of these self-contained stories surrounding the targets.
