Im curious, what is it about sticker star thats so bad? I watched my zoomie coworker play it for about 10 minutes today on his 3ds (he always latches on to games im playing so he started sticker star after I started raving about TTYD) and it looked neat

playing this the first time (recently) gave me the same warm and fuzzy "holy shit this was a masterpiece" feeling that finally playing parasite eve and vagrant story gave metheres probably very very few rpgs left I havent played that will give me that feeling, which is sad indeed. but the good news is im playing phantasy star iv right now and so far its great. dont know if its on that level yet but we shall see.

There are no partners, there is no compelling tale of adventure, there are no fun and wacky side characters along the way. The game is a fucking soulless husk. I'd equate it to a skinwalker in the way that it is this uncanny, eerie replica of something you thought you recognized. Some of the music is fine, though. The game is a 2/10 carried by some of that music, otherwise it's a fucking 1. Genuinely one of the worst games I've ever experienced in my life.
