never heard of this game so OP is likely advertising for it
>>

He did make a game. What's your point?

Better thumbnails (the one in your pic is not enticing) and banner art, contact streamers and ask if they will try the game for free, give away some copies to random people, etc

>give away some copies to random people
This is detrimental to your game and does nothing. Devs of flopped games did it here before, and it led to nothing.
Gamers don't deserve to be handed out copies of games for free, as they never pay back for anything.

Why are we shilling a random 4 year old indie game again?

This thread proves thay /v/ is, by and large, subhuman.

Would you honestly play your own game? People have limited time and when you're competing with every piece of entertainment media ever you think your half assed platformer is going to cut it? Mario 3 was released in 1988 and I can bet my balls the jumping feels better in Mario.

1. If you're making a game with the intent of earning money, you've already lost. Passion should be the sole reason.
2. Imagine 14 people sitting in a room, smiling while playing your game and saying it's fun. If that's not enough for you, see point 1.

Just fire (and maybe kill) your art team and open up blender and spend 20 minutes making a potato person. Add in ragdoll physics and multiplayer. Toss like 6 streamers your 20mb ass game and charge $4.99 for it. Congrats you've acquired financial success and may retire while you enthralled the group of humans who lack any sort of agency or free will to your product until the next friendslop falls out of the ass of creativity. Being a modern indie is not about quality, it is about feeding drones fotm with their friends.

How did it get to this state?

Because the economy globally has been fucking ass since the turn of the millennium and gets worse each year so you have less room to do things for spirit and more cause to do it for survival but at least I like my job. Plus zoomers and most likely gen alpha have become the perfected consumer. Near totally mindless and agency is a secondary to their 'entertainment' source that is content creators. From there you sell them a stick and tell them that with friends it is super fun by showing their internet personality having fun with their friends. I'm not even going to give my generation the millennials freedom from the idocy as they tend to be spearheading the charge into mental retardation as the streamer/lets player. The only thing you truly gain by making a product you genuinely want to make is self satisfaction. Outside of financial luck with that you aren't paying your bills with self satisfaction I wouldn't think.
