in retrospect this game wasn't all that bad. comparatively it looks and feels better that a lot of newer releases despite the shilling campaign against it. it's one of those games that will age well

I finally played it this weekend and it's basically Odyssey but in Japan. I'm having a lot of fun with the stealth this time around. I think a lot of AC players who didn't play Shadows because of all the drama will probably revisit it a year or so later and have a lot of fun with it
>>723820478I already said it's the best out of the RPG anthology but it's still RPG slop from Ubisoft so expect extreme padding and a lot of repetitive content. I kinda wish they changed their direction with this game and leaned into survival elements, there's something cozy about wearing heavy clothes in the winter while playing as an african samurai looking to avenge his master.

I liked that they had dialogue choices in Odyssey that had small effects on NPCs but it would be cool if there were more choices and consequences or more than one way to infiltrate a location and kill a target (e..g. paying someone to smuggle you in, getting caught on purpose so you get jailed inside, pretending to be a servant...etc)
