What is the best gaming mouse and why is it the Logitech G502?

>>723854269Logitech has the double clicking issue, the sensor spin out issue, and the creaky body issue. At this point, there’s no reason to ever buy a Logitech over a Zowee or Vader if you’re going mechanical. The Deathadder/Basilisk/Viper have serious QA issues too and their software is egregiously bad. The smaller brands are where it’s at now. Vaxee/LAMZU/Zowee/Hitscan/Ninjutso/Fantech are the way of the future but they don’t market hard so you have to purposefully find them. I still use a CM MM730 but CM is dead.

Wireless mice 3.7, 3 or 1.5v (Li-Ion/LiPo voltage/ 2x AA / 1x AA) and office generally use a resistor to go to ~1.2v Gaming mice run the higher voltage since it has provably better latency that way is free to implement - but the switches don't last.

>>723871961Im not sure what that anon is doing to his mice. I've had the same 502 for 10 years at this point
>>723856042wood
I do not understand the heavy vs light thingI had the mm711 coolermaster, was good but SO light even a small wire tension moved it.Now i have this, THIS IS A BRICK in comparisong, and it EVEN got additional WEIGHTs, lol.But still, for both the roll wheel is very shit.
>>723856042Been using the same Steelseries qck for 10 years now
>>723856042tempered glass from aliexpress
>>723856042a big fucking slab of glass
>>723854269My side tilt clicker is fucking up AGAINI HATE THIS MOUSE
>>723878614>>723878673what's the point? less friction?
>had a rat7 for awhile but thumb button got loose/broke so got a new mouse>2-3 mice later and my aim in games has only gotten worseI dont know if it was the weights or what but somehow a fucking meme mouse was the best one I ever had.
>>723856042im mexican btw if that matters
>>723878714obviouslyif i could get a zero friction mousepad i would, it's basically reducing its weight
>>723878869why are brown people absolutely obsessed with White nationalism
>>723878714it also is a lot cooler in temp which feels nicer on the forearm for me, that's the main thing, plus it's really easy to clean vs a textured one that holds dead skin and dust
>>723879050I live in England, that was just for comedic effect.
>>723879174do people not just throw their mouse pads in the washing machine every couple of months?
>>723879224washing machines fuck them upyou want a hand wash and that shit gets disgusting quicklyevery time i washed my old cloth pad so much brown looking filth came outit's impossible for my glass pad to even collect that shit
>>723878869take notes >>723878869
>>723879358>every time i washed my old cloth pad so much brown looking filth came outWhat the fuck are you doing to your pad that you see a bunch of brown filth coming out? I scrub mine down in the bathtub every now and then and barely see anything come off it. The only time I have is recently when my brother gave me an old pad back covered in dust.
>>723879206>I live in Englandmy point still stands
>>723879224idonno probably, I just spray a bit of isopropyl and wipe it off now, much easier and it's not like the chink glass was expensive like the resellers on amazon
>>723854269MCHOSE > Logitech
While we're on the topic, how do you get cum out of a mousepad? Asking for a friend.
>>723854454i imported one through ali express, little bit more expensive but was here in europe within a week
>>723879613i use it, or rather i used iti went several months without cleaning itglass doesn't require nannying it for several minutes and letting it dry for hours, you wipe it and you're done
>>723870279this thread convinced me, i just ordered one of these
>>723879975>i use it, or rather i used itAs toilet paper apparently. I've gone a long time without washing mine and never had that happen and I use my computer regularly.
>>723870543Ah that makes sense then. My logitech m650 is still going strong and outlast my 3 gaming mice. What's the cheapest optical switch to get I don't mind getting a chinese brand?
>>723880229i admit i did eat on top of it quite oftenstill, i can eat on top of my glass pad and the cleaning takes literal seconds
>>723854389did you buyder it from wal-mart too? (i did)
>>723880558I EAT AT MY DESK TOO, NIGGAWHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR POOR MOUSEPADARE YOU EATING OFF OF IT?
>>723879206>I live in England, that's even more cringe
>>723854269This loud pingy shit doesn't hold a candle to the Basilisk
>>723877794i had to fix stuff like 4 times including double clicking, fortunately it was easy to fix if i recall correctly, same as double scrolling or wheel button not working.
>>723880713nothingyou're just imagining something worse than what the dirty water actually looked like
>>723854557
>>723882784Get cqc'd dumbass
>>723854906I love my zowie, but I can't justify buying another one. Apparently it's really difficult to take apart without braking it because of the way it's put together. For a mouse with a rechargeable battery I can't justify it
>>723875162nice latency
>>723854269love the comfy evolution of this model, just wish higher end Logitech mice were as reliable as their cheapo models.
>>723854269I had an old razer deathadder, a v2. I really liked it and the positioning of its extra buttons, a simple but good cheap mouse. Then it eventually broke, so I dediced to buy another. The v3 and v4 deathadders have LESS FUCKING BUTTONS and are MORE EXPENSIVE than the v2. So I had to settle with a logitech g502, and I fucking hate this thing. The mouse wheel being able to unlock is useless and a waste of premium extra button space. The positions of the other extra buttons on the top and side of the mouse are awful, they are extremely awkward and uncomfortable to use. It took me forever to get used to it, and I still don't like it.
>>723854269Logitech G403/703 after they release the superlight version
>>723856042I used an old Sports Illustrated magazine for an embarrassingly long time. I moved and needed something to use as a mousepad in a pinch, and then just kept using it for years afterwards.I make roughly $105k a year.
>>723854269I only use symmetrical mice
>>723885461is your hand symmetrical?
>>723854717Heavy mice are for fat and sick people who need the inertia to average out their impaired, shaky motor control.Light mouse is objectively just faster to move from point A to point B regardless of the strength of the user.
>>723885551no but using claw grip it fits fine and sometimes I'll play slower games like civ left handed
>>723856042a piece of tatami mat
>>723854269>G502>the mouse that was never good because it's heavy as shit and an awkward segmented shape>made even worse with nu-Logitech's nonexistent QC and catastrophic decline in material quality>they even removed the paracordThe only Logitech mouse worth the effort is the Ultralight, and even then it's very fragile and will die on you.Just get a cheap Chinese wireless mouse at 40-50 grams, it's a solved issue.
>>723876647>couldn't the microswitch manufacturers make more suitable contactsYes, but money and feel.thicker contacts have different feel. >does the entire circuit need 5v or could gaming mice just have implemented those resistors leading up to the switches5v is faster than the resistor, it's damaging but consider a 2008 landscape where click latency on mice was still a big deal (on any competent mouse it's basically solved now) and everyone was competing - that's how we got to where we are, even though the USB transceivers added more latency than killing switches over time.
>>723886797G502X is light though and has optical switches. The problem is it's not comfortable long term.
>>723858724It's random. I had my old model 502 with the rusty wheel for God knows how many years and the only thing that ever double clicked was M4 but that's trivially fixed with AHK. I only got a new one because all the rubber eventually peeled off. The new model 502 had double clicking issues after two months. I replaced that one, and now it's been fine for years. Modern gaming hardware is basically gacha. I had the same shit with the SeXbox pad, I had to replace it like three or four times until I got one that didn't have any issues 2m-1y in.
>>723863326>>723870734it only has them for RMB and LMB, not the others
