Clans also have total reign via mass reports. If you slight one of them even without knowing it, they can mass report you and you get banned by a bot and then have to go through a lengthy review process.

Never happened to me but there's lots of documented cases like this. The actual war of Foxhole isn't collies vs. wardens, it's the clans vs the rest of the players.

The difference to real life is that a new player or just someone who doesn't play as often doesn't get automatically sorted into a regiment. In real life armies you can't just be a solo soldier doing your own thing.

The problem isn't that players self organising is the winning strat - that's the whole premise of the game. It's that the clan players can bully everyone else into submission via mass reports and than the devs only pander to them.

The devs should make fire destroy facilities. No facility husks. If it burns down, resources gone.

You can do fire solo but you need at least a wildjack or flameAC - they can tank rifle garrisons long enough to light t1 or t2 bbs on fire.

Another dev should make a clone.
This game niche needs to go back to shorter wars, with more focus on fighting, fewer logi requirements, and most importantly actually being able to say anything in chat without getting banned. Another game can come along and rape siegecamp if they let us call the troons a bunch of faggots.

The voicechat still breaks constantly so you have to manually reconnect in options. Remember 'operations' where players were encouraged on frontlines to all join up into voice chat and do stuff together like flank or vehicle plays? Well that fun period got axed because of a voicechat bug where you could hear the other faction and voice constantly broke. So now its just go on discord and get banned by trannies. And they deleted operations for no reason.

This game is made for people who autistically dedicate themselves to a single game. Time is a resource in Foxhole and the more you're online and playing, the bigger your advantage.
This naturally attracts social rejects with few or nor IRL responsibilities, let alone offline friends or hobbies.

Furries aren't exactly known for their mental stability and sanity so to me it makes sense that games like this attract weirdos that are too much even for your common anon.

I like that people use the voice chat a lot, contrary to the recent thread that zoomers don't use it in games in general. I can't quite put my finger on why, but there's something about the way it's designed that pushes you to.

These situations happen pretty often in the infantry gameplay loop and it'd be tedious (and impossible to get people's attention) to use the text chat all the time. Taking out an infantry kit from the inventory and walking back to where the fighting is after dying also takes a while. I guess maybe each player life has some more value because of it. Especially if you're far from your spawn point, if you die, you die "for good".

My theory is that this habit carries over to other parts of the game where the voice chat isn't really needed, but people use it anyway since they already got their feet wet.

Sounds like most of the thread's problem is that they want sporadic unregulated cooperation to be the norm.
However I can't even name a single game that promotes cooperation and stays in a perpetual frontier-feel state.
Sooner or later bodies of collective power form up and become the actual predominant entities ruling the game's scape. Either by being more effective at reaching gameplay goals or by assimilating the chaotic solo ronins they can and eliminating others by ousting them out. Most of the time it's both.
