AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
>>
its 2025
>>
>>723866272
blame the incompetence behind the modern gaming industry
>>
isn't the PAYDAY 2 engine literally just a Source engine fork
>>
imagine if Bethesda did this...
>>
>>723866360
no. it was an engine used for racings game in 2001 by the previous bankrupt company before overkill. it’s been heavily modified now. it’s called diesel engine literally
>>
this is incredibly sad and extremely funny at the same time
>>
>>723866239
What's so funny? First of, I need a fix for my ultrawide because I had to tweak numbers in the gamefiles for it to display properly. Secondly, CPU compatibility needs to be streamlined. I don't know what else should be done from the get go but there is shit to do.
>>
>>723866412
>image if Bethesda did this...
>quality of life improvements
>game fixes
I can't
>>
>>723866239
I imagine Tripwire isn't far behind with a similar plan for Killing Floor 2 kek
>>
>>723866239
stop killing muh games
>>
>>723866239
More Payday 2 dlc incoming
>>
>>723866239
didn't payday 3 come out, why are they still doing payday 2 stuff?
>>
>>723866239
i read that as hello heisisters
i've been on here too long
>>
>>723868416
payday 3 flopped extremely hard
>>
>>723868416
Payday 3's engine is unironically alienating to people who would play it (third worlders)
>>
>>723868416
Payday 3 flopped anon.
They released it broken with no content and always online bullshit.
>>
>>723868515
>and always online bullshit.

The people that complain about this just want to hack the game and basically cheat all their shit to max.

this is genuinely a smart move. Overkill is still working on making PD3 not shit, which is unlikely, but they have the team that took over on Raid: WW2 and made it not shit to make more PD2. It's funny/annoying they're still having to profit from PD2 but at least they're aware PD3 is a mostly lost cause.
>>
>>723868557
trvke
>>
>>723866239
Sounds good. Can they fix the myriad of bugs and issues plaguing 2?
>>
>>723866239
sounds like they're outsourcing their game to side team, maybe you will get some qol, some fixes and game would live on?
>>
>>723866239
WOOOOOO, GAGE WEAPON PACK #3 HERE WE GOOOOO
>>
>allows Starbreeze to maintain full focus on PAYDAY 3
hell yeah, time to burn money and do layoffs
>>
>>723868557
And others complain about that shit because they want to be able to play the game when their shit servers are down.
>>
I tried playing Pay Day 3 and immediately some woman start yammering in my ears, so I just decided I had better things to do.
>>
Fuck off niggerkill, fix payday 1 and 2 so they don't stutter and freeze on modern pc's
>>
>>723866239
Maybe those fucking morons will finally update the engine to 64 bits so that the game doesn't stutter on newer maps because it can't use more than 4 gb of ram.
>>
>>723868416
3 flopped so hard they went back and increased prices across most of 2's DLC before introducing an optional subscription fee.
They refused to listen and are now killing the entire franchise.
>>
I remember the time when starbreeze logo meant you were gonna play an amazing tech demo like escape from butcher bay or the darkness. I even enjoyed syndicate. what the hell happened to them? it's like they went crazy after payday 2.
>>
>>723870315
you wish. the only thing you'll get is something that easy to make, for example ultrawide monitor fix
>>
>>723870934
Ok but why though?
>>
>>723873604
money. and because fuck you
>>
>>723869028
payday 3 was hacked and cheated in like week 1, they had no anticheat for the always online. it was just for the fortnite shop (that never got implemented)
>>
>>723871273
>what the hell happened to them
Money. A company gets too successful and it all goes to shit
>>
>>723868557
Payday 2 is unplayable without hacks that unlock all weapons and attachments and creamapi
>>
>>723868557
So? It's their game, they can do what they want with it.
>>
>>723868565
They did that big season 1 update that made it seem like they were really gonna go all in and fix it, but then immediately announced that they weren't going to do that for later seasons. I'm pretty sure the devs gave up on the game at that precise point.
>>
>>723866239
Raid fucking died in a month and the dev team was more incompetent than tripwire
>>
Should I bother with PD2 or 3? I've only played the first and it was kino but after a while it just got boring and I could only find hackers who spawned a gazillion turrets to play with
or do I just wait and cope/hope that Den of Wolves won't suck ass if I want to shoot banks up
>>
>>723868557
>no you're not allowed to play the offline-capable game you paid for unless our servers OK you
GR Breakpoint was basically made for me but I refuse to play it because of online only. Cheating in SP games ruin them. You're just flat out wrong about your assumptions.
>>
>>723878778
PD2 is still highly enjoyable and has over 10 years of content, you don't even need the DLCs to play the heists, just someone hosting them.
>>
>>723868515
>>723868557
In reality they wanted always online shit because people just unlocked 1000000000 weapons DLCs for PD2 instead of paying for them.
>>
>>723868416
probably one of the biggest flop
