I'm personally sticking with it because of the gameplay potential. It's still early to tell but there are layers to it. It's not on the same level of depth as traditional deck builders but you can already see it being around Limbus Company levels of strategy as an example.

You can brute force early game with overlevling and stuffing the team with 5* but eventually find character synergies and that your team will actually be stronger with 2 4*'s that synergize with your main unit then just having a deck with shit that doesn't build on each other.

So what determines the battles I can keep my enhanced decks or not? The Save Data thing?
I farmed straight away better cards for Veronica but when I went to use her in the story she defaulted to the original ones even though she was equipped with the newer ones.
While in the mats farming her deck was the proper one.

It's pretty good.
Main problems so far seem to be that it's buggy as shit and a lot of keywords don't have a description.

I just finished my day 1 playthrough.
leveled up 3 characters to lv20 (Selena, Tressa, Amir), but ran out of stamina to farm level 20 material for Renoa.

Selena (bunny girl sniper) is the best so far with its high damage AoE and single target attack
Amir the free character even with her delicious brown bazongas kinda sucks since so many of her cards are non-action cards
Tressa kinda sucks too because her dagger damage is just so low and her healing is so insignificant.

An easy way to play is to just focus on the RPG trinity of DPS, Tank, Healer.

The base of your team should be someone that deals damage, someone that mitigates damage and someone that supports the team.

After you have this base starter team, you can tweak it to your liking or modify it once you know what you're doing.

Like for example, Tressa Maribell Mika. All 4-star characters and they cover the trinity of DPS Healer Tank perfectly then you can modify the team later.

Take something like Chrono Ark for example. Chrono Ark is an excellent game and one of the best anime deck builders if not probably the only one but I bet you that this game already made more than that game ever made day1 purely because of Gacha.

Game companies are trying to turn everything into live service or gacha because an ongoing game where you can monetize everything and continue to profit from the game earns a lot more money than spending years for a game players will pay a few dollars for or pirate.

Yes, I get it, but my point is that this is the kind of game that doesn't really appeal to the average gachafag. It's way too involved (runs can last 20-30 min), you actually have to play the game, and it has too many males despite being coomerbait. This is why I don't really mind gachas as long as the income and balance is good for non-paying players. The company gets money to fund themselves and their game while I get a free game with constant updates.

The personal event doesn’t really sell me Haru that well. I still wish to roll Renoa over her. Haru got her arc over her lone issues and all when the ship was closed down but frankly Rei suffering a breakdown in the prologue and needing us to have direct counseling did more to interest me in her than Haru.
Perhaps it’s due to how detached this felt. Not just the flashbacks but also dealing with it. Because she kept the core details to her survival to herself there wasn’t much her friends could do either to talk it out to her while searching the girl in Chaos

the way i see it, the save system replaces having far too many dogshit progression systems. its pretty reserved for a gacha, since equipment and deck upgrades come from actually play the game.
