Paradox fired the old devs and gave the game to be salvaged to a walking sim dev. The walking sim dev went "CAN WE PLEAAAAASE TAKE OUT ALL THE GAMEPLAY?" and Paradox said no, or fans of VTMB will not buy it
The walking sim dev said "fine then, we'll put in shitty half-assed versions of all the gameplay systems but we're not gonna make it an RPG and you're certainly not gonna be allowed to make any choices"
