Its good but it felt like I basically had to unlearn Ninja Gaiden to really start enjoying it. The focus on meter management and defensive options make it quite different

It's a fun game, but I'm pretty disappointed in the Platinum part of it. Having more entertaining characters and story was the thing I hoped Platinum would inject into the franchise, but it's easily the weakest part of the game. Surprisingly Yakumo is probably the best new character because he has the least obnoxious dialogue. It felt like they tried to recreate the MGR codec team, but the dialogue is just really boring in that uninspired jap dialogue way. Everyone yaps a lot but has nothing interesting to say.Still, the gameplay is enjoyable and thats what really matters. But I feel this game could easily been great, instead of merely good.
