Ninja Gaiden was always a niche series, but even moreso part of the problem, Platinum Games lost all of their good rep. Kamiya is gone, Bayo 3 sucked ass, Babylon's Fall was an embarrassment. I simply don't care about what the have to offer.

I want to murder people who put in rarity drop systems in single player games with a story emphasis. At least MGR has the option to ultrabuff parry on revengeance. I also think it's closer to a very good action game if you could use non sword-attacks more and stagger/windows were worked on a bit, but automata doesn't have anything close to the Sam or Armstrong fights even with the human-sized fights like Eve, 9s, etc.The story isn't great but it has strong beats like the tower erecting and these give lasting memory (the rest gets washed in time) and "you just don't get it" potential to gain word of mouth. I personally wanted every playable character formatted out of existence by the end.
