Extremely grating playing some game not set in Britain or a Britain-like place and hearing the characters go "OI MOIT LES GO TO THA PUB ON A FROIDAY MOOOOONIN'".Unironically the best voice acting I've heard in a modern game in recent memory was Rise of the Ronin cause it seems like they just took random people off the street and gave them a few lines to say (just like they used to do in the good ol' days when games were good) so most characters could barely pronounce English words properly but it resulted in a very immersive (the game was set in 18th century Japan, after all), weirdly endearing experience. Meanwhile the American characters in that game spoke with an American accent and British ones with a British accent. That's how it should be, not every single character sounding like a Glasgow chav.
