this is the most fucked up PC port of all time
you can install all the mods and fixes and it will still run like shit and crash
>>
yeah no shit everyone knows that
>>
>>724073505
Just emulate the 360 version
>>
God doesn't want you to play it. The one person that actually tried to make a port that wasn't fucked up died of cancer.
>>
>>724073505
I got my physical copy of it at Dollarama back in the day.
>>
>>724073505
still played the shit out of it in high school
i remember struggling with a a race around the trailer park because the handling is so irresponsive with the performance
>>
And even when you go through all that effort, you still can't play the DLCs.

I replayed it a few months back on my 360. The first time I heard the music playing on radio stations, nostalgia hit me like a bitch.

the funniest thing about saints row 2 is that the studio SOMEHOW finally found the source code that's been lost for like a decade at the time, delegated ONLY TWO guys to make a remaster, then one of those dudes died AND THEN the dev an heroed by making a fuckass reboot game tailored by dorky millennials for dorky millennials that didn't sell and bankrupted the whole company
it's like one of those cartoon skits where a character just keeps on tripping on random shit and knocks itself out with a rake lmao
>>
>>724075096
The guy dying from cancer should have leaked the source code on his deathbed. It's not like THQ could have done anything to him.
>>
>>724075249
They would go after his estate, which includes pension, savings, and 401k
Yes you can literally bankrupt a dead person's family over copyright nonsense and nobody sees a problem with it.
>>
>>724073505
Gentleman of the Row and Juiced patch make it mostly playable, ALTHOUGH this mission https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3goGB0WQOaw will crash the game if you don't drive far enough away from the smoke effects from the burning buildings when you're about to complete it

>reboot game tailored by dorky millennials for dorky millennials
I forced myself to play throught that pile of shit. Shooting was okay, but everything else was absolute trash. The sitcom humor, the cringe characters, the gangs that have zero presence. And the setting is probably the worst part about it, who the fuck thought that having a desert throughout the whole map was a good idea?
I felt like I was playing the sims with guns.
>>
>>724073505
deadly premonition is worse
>>
>>724073505
CDPReddit also lost the source code for so long that by the time someone found it the reboot had all but killed Volition already.
>>
>unpatched VTMB
>deadly premonition
>unpatched SR2
Who is the 4th horseman of apocalyptic ports?
>>
>>724078002
VTMB works fine with official patches. Fan patches break more shit than they fix or restore. Also it's not a port.
Yakuza 3 Remastered requires heat and evasion fixes for the player, the broken enemy AI is unpatchable.

>Yakuza 3 Remastered requires heat and evasion fixes for the player, the broken enemy AI is unpatchable.
Any mod recommendations? I've been putting Y3 on the backburner simply because of the botched enemy blocking
>>
>>724079312
Yakuza modding boils down to porting movesets between games, texture swaps and restorations for licensed songs. There's nothing that fixes the broken game logic caused by half-assed FPS unlock.
>>
>>724073505
emulation will save us
with the console exclusive dlc and system link co op

They're getting ported to PC. I ain't joining their discord servers to look for ETA though. I'll just grab them when they're ready.

Wasn't CD Projekt behind the port?

The original Resident Evil 4 port

Yeah. Another polacke company that branched off from Cenega made the broken Yakuza ports.

The mod worked fine on my PC but it was impossible to do certain minigames on co-op because the timer ran like 3x as fast
>>
>>724083223
GameCube actually which is what the PC port is based off of for God forsaken reason
>>
So why did no one try to fix this after that one retard died?
>>
>>724083386
I just remembered the dolphin devs complaining about the game because the game divides by zero.

>The important part to note about this is that True Crime: New York City divides by zero a lot. As in, every single time you step on a dynamic object, these divide by zeroes flood the physics engine to the point where we had to assume there was something wrong with Dolphin's emulation of a CPU instruction. We never actually considered that the game engine was doing all of this on purpose.

>>
>>724083054
Maybe a little. Let more dudebros test it and report any remaining bugs, it's probably going to be a reputable mod in the near future.
>>
>>724073505
The Steam version of Manhunt has all the anti-piracy measures enabled. And Rockstar just tries to pass it off as just glitches from modern OS's.

GTA 4
>>
>>724073505
It's about the average quality for that specific era, don't forget that back then mustards were considered worse than garbage.
