You'd have entire short stories basically of varying quality on their own, but as an SCP part of the collective it felt like it was trying too hard to stand out. It was more fun when there were groupings of SCPs under one group or banner that could be vaguely connected to each other like that (Church of the Broken God is my favorite) but now you'll have entire articles linking to other ones and so on trying to make some sort of big lore about it to rival the Scarlet King. Individual SCPs can be bad and not shit up the overall body of work, but this genre of SCP specifically has really hampered what the goal of the writing prompt is.
