When Fallout 3 came out I used to try to argue with anons for hours on /v/ that just because they enjoyed playing it doesn't make it a good game or a good Fallout gameI can remember getting all sweaty trying to gently steer them back toward the matter at hand and they'd just reply "But I liked it though. Are you saying I didn't have fun?" and I'd have to start all over from scratch saying "No, of course not, but just because you found something fun doesn't make it good" and giving reductio ad absurdam examples of things that are fun but not good, and then they'd just reset again. I think this was a valuable life lesson, because from then on I stopped trying to convince people of things past a certain point, or caring if they personally are convinced.
