The creation of the MOBA genre. They will never be forgiven for this.

They got too big and successful for their own good. Simple as.

Coasted on WoW for decades while bleeding any talent they had.
>>
WoW became too big and they went public. You had to be their to experience it, blizzard were the Gods every pc gamer worshiped during the late 90's early 2000's
>>
They got bought out and transformed into a cia propaganda outlet. It is likely that it was always part of the cia and it didn't start hard line using full force propaganda until it had a captive audience. The company is now filed with former glowies in their executive positions and antifa adjacent rank and file empooyees.
>>
suits got outmatched by working talent they hired
they got a product they couldn't handle and did what they thought best - milked it dry until it imploded

This guy was a former glowie. It is likely he is only there to promote globohomo interests. Also having access to chat logs to stop drugs/weapons/human trafficking operations on wow and battle net.

Just don't play MOBA's, you retarded nigger.
>>
>>724137273
The actual answer is they hired too many people who weren't true creatives, and women. When it was a small, tight-knit group of dorky developers, it pumped out classics like there was no tomorrow. Bungie was the same way. ID was the same way.
>>
>>724137301
They had their chance to have Dota and they blew it.
One of the most retarded decisions ever, but holy shit am I glad that Blizzard fumbled it. Blizzard dota would have sucked on epic levels.
>>
They appealed to people that don't like video games because they hate their customers.

Every major dev/publisher goes through an arrogance phase and Blizzard's was one of the worst while all their talent left and tentpole releases degraded their pedigree. Their smug hiring processes also filtered out all but the "best of the best of the best" (when they vocally considered themselves the Pixar of gaming) which got them a bunch of opportunist resume stuffers who leveraged their experience at prime Bungie or whatever to get their dream job while having zero clue about what made Blizzard games good in the first place. Some of the stories about Titan's development were embarrassing. It was a bunch of cultists who swore it would "change gaming forever" without explaining how or what the game as even supposed to be and were confident Blizzard magic would make it all come together in the end.

Is Diablo 4 any good?
I'm playing Diablo 3 on Switch and I'm finding it fun. It's kind of mindless, actually. The time I spend planning builds and experimenting is only 5% of the time. The other 95% of the time is spent mashing buttons in the right order according to the skills I consider best, and that's it.
For now, I think the game is 5% RPG, 95% Vampire Survivors, but it's still fun to play.

everquest niggerfaggot raidtroons
>>
>>724146172
That's the gist of D3 honestly. Once you get into higher GRifts you'll find yourself more and more shoehorned into certain skills and sets that have only certain equip slots free that then can take other bonuses. Ring of Royal Grandeur will suck your balls through your boxers if you ask it nicely.

Don't Google anything and figure builds out for yourself, it's the best way to play.

FPBP.
>>
>>724146172
It's definitely worth a playthrough. Fun game, just not that interesting an endgame. It's a game you can enjoy once or twice and then leave, rather than a "I want to perpetually grind this" game.
>>
>>724137273
Studio started by a bunch of talented creative dudes, who were great at making games, but not so good at passing on knowledge to the next generation. So over time the talent got diluted and eventually completely flushed out. Now, the Blizzard that was, is only a distant memory.

>>
They spent a decade trying to destroy company value so they could be bought out.
>>
>>724137301
This is a big part of it. In the Diablo/Starcraft days Blizzard became huge by allowing modding; same as Elder Scrolls. Because DotA became successful Blizzard was terrified of 'missing out on THEIR money' they killed modding and lost all that free work people were willing to do to improve their games.
>>
I was driving to Ohio and had a lot of spare time so I listened to the audiobook of the creation and history of Blizzard.

It really truly starts with project titan failing, which forced Activision to install a CFO in the Blizzard side of the company, who's entire job was to implement more and more ways of generating income from their games, first of which being the RMAH in Diablo 3.
>>
>>724141427
It needs to be studied what methods are being used by Blizzard to keep their loyalist fans as loyalist as they can be. You'll hear Blizzdrones in every other form of discussion condemning things all across the board, but it's tolerated as long as Blizzard is doing it.
>Remake of an old game we've had that was inferior in every single metric to the original? LOL LMAO (ignore WC3 Reforged though, that was hype!)
>MMO with a paid subscription, cash shop, and extraneous out-of-game purchases in order to access all of the content? LMAO HOW RETARDED CAN YOU NIGGERS BE (It's okay with WoW though)
>Multiplayer "game" with painfully bad gameplay and only exists to sell goon material to its porn addicted fans? LOL COOMBRAINED RETARDS (Overwatch is okay though, stop complaining about it)
>>

>>
>>724152440
You'll never convince me Overwatch porn was not made directly by Blizzard.
>>
>>724152794
I'm not of the opinion it was made directly BY Blizzard, but if it comes out as some bombshell """discovery""" in the coming years that they directly financed a lot of SFM artists like Nyl and the like to make as much Overwatch porn as possible (while giving them resources to use freely to do so), I would believe it even if it was an Onion article.

Mentzen's daughter grew up and he could'nt explain to her why exactly do guys of any age like seeing hot amazon gals running around in bikini armour.
>>
All their good devs burned out trying to ship WoW.
>>
>>724137273
Partnered with Activision. That made them become a publicly traded company which meant they had to answer to shareholders and couldn't focus on making the best game possible but now had to be as profitable as possible. Whenever you wonder what happened to former great product/company 99% of the the time that is the answer. As soon as a company becomes publicly traded you should jump ship because a drastic downward spike in quality is soon to follow.

So in other words, there's only ~15% nerd women willing to work for a company where sexual molestation and breastmilk theft are commonplace?

>activision merger, the beginning of the end BIG CORPO!
>e-sports, this took the game from players first to e-sports first
>OGs start to retire
>cosbygate, all remaining OGs retire or get fired
>tranny infestation, most if not all good coders are gone and only troons remain
>>
>>724156384
Vivendi Games owned Blizzard and was doing horribly. Kotick's Activision was near bankruptcy and approached Vivendi to do a merger because he wanted WoW money so bad.
Not even the big suits at Blizzard like Morhaime could veto a buyout like that.

Same thing that always happens, anon. The people who actually made good games retired, got fired, or quit, leaving a bunch of dipshit marketeers in charge of everything.

blizzard is actually doing great, Overwatch has 4 times more players than Marvel rivals
WoW still has 10 million subs with a very small dev team

Anything good they made was by Blizzard North

Cancer developer that would always take exactly the wrong lesson from their foundational game and ride it to its death on sequels

WoW gave them infinite money for a very long time, so much so that they started getting federal agents as their upper crust of executives as plants

Now Microsoft owns them

It is not hyperbole to say that a great number of faults and problems within the mindset of western video game development can be traced back to Blizzard
>>
They got too big. Everything special that you've ever loved was made by a small team, if not an individual. Meanwhile massive companies with budgets in the billions and their pick of the finest PhDs in the world can only produce shit, ex: meta, microsoft
It's because when too many people are involved nothing can get done, and it becomes a revolving door for scam artists who just want to grab a quick profit and bail to the next company.
