>no hints>unthinkableHow were you supposed to find the secret levels in Crash 3 without a guide?
do you know what secret means?
>>724138140yes but why make them so hard to find with no logic or direct hints?
>>724138476what do you mean no logic?
>>724138518Unlocking these secret levels is totaly random.
The ayylmao sign is conspicuous at least but I have no idea what the hell is supposed to make you want to die to a pterodactyl on purpose. I don't think I ever even died to one by accident, they're easy to avoid.
>>724138068Hot Coco hint was easy to spot, Eggipus Rex actually was a reward for sucking at the game since there were NO hints, that one was bullshit, double bullshit since it's the ONLY level were you can ride Rex for the entirety of it, because there is no point to Rex in the normal level, he's just kind of there, I guess he can walk easier on weed and jump a bit higher? But that's it.
>>724138761>I have no idea what the hell is supposed to make you want to die to a pterodactyl on purpose.true>>724138791>Hot Coco hint was easy to spot, Eggipus Rex actually was a reward for sucking at the game Yes but what about good players? I know you find these level by concidence but the chance is extermly low.
Crash 2 was way better with the secret levels
>>724138068you were meant to randomly find one share it with your friends, they do the same etcyou do have friends, right anon?
>>724138068I legitimately only found the mini-level with the Dinosaur (Eggipus Rex) in 2019 when I was playing the remaster and I saw a screenshot of it somewhere. I probably spent a couple hundred hours on this game as a kid (and teenager) without ever discovering that level. It's the only thing I never knew existed and I never "beat".>>724138518Well, for example, Crash games are notorious for requiring you to seemingly jump into a suicide situation (intentionally play bad) to unlock stuff. The first level of Crash 2 requires you to not collect a single box to unlock the blue gem. There is a level in Crash 2 where you have to jump into a hole, which would normally be certain death, just to access a secret level. In Crash 3, "Eggipus Rex" is unlocked by you being shit enough at the game for a pterodactyl to pick you up (which would normally kill you). In Crash 3, you have to be bad at driving the motorcycle to the point of crashing into a sign to unlock a secret level. There are no hints to any of these and between all these I only knew of the motorcycle level. In 2012 I saw some gameplay where I discovered all the Crash 2 secrets, and in the case of Eggipus Rex I saw that the level existed only in 2018/2019.>>724139127It wasn't, it was the same shit. See above, at least 2 of the secrets were non-intuitive and dogshit. To be fair, personally I don't mind this. Caring about getting 100%, or "all achievements" and actively looking up guides is something that takes the fun out of gaming and makes it a chore.
>>724138068The remake actually telegraphed that better
>>724139127Crash 2 was way better
>>724138068I found them as a kid. the only, only, one i never did without being told was in Crash 2, jumping on the Nitro Create steps in one of the levels with the Bees>>724140529disagree
>>724140727>disagreeBecause you don't like Crash and platformers in general.
>>724140482>at least 2 of the secrets were non-intuitive and dogshitI found them all by myself when I was 10. Maybe try not being a low IQ shitskin.
>>724138761Word of mouth from people who found it and early budding internet gaming sites. Or guides. I found it from accidentally getting caught by it, cant remember how.
>>724138623It's actually not.Give an example.
>>724140802>I was bad at the game or someone told me how to do it, so I winSure thing buddy.
>>724140862Being picked up by a pterodactyl brings you to a secret level, when all the previous 10 instances of the same pterodactyl kill you and condition you into avoiding it. You have to actively be bad at the game to discover that secret.
>>724141165>someone told meLmao keep coping shitskin
>>724138623I figured out how to access Hot Coco when I was 9Maybe you are retarded
>>724141218Doesn't it look/move differently compared to the others?
Just don't worry about secret levels, most people won't even see half of the levels in any of the Crash games to begin with.
>>724141558The average gamer doesn't actually play video gamesIt's not exclusive to /v/
Worrying about getting 100% of the "content" is a modern way of looking at games. The idea of secrets being there that you might not find or even know about used to just be an accepted thing and actually finding some made you hot shit.
>>724138068You weren't. 100% completion isn't a guarantee you know.
>>724140771Oh, you're just an autist.
>>724141317>I figured out how to access Hot Coco when I was bad at games.
>>724142453Noticing a completely unique sign and trying to interact with it isn't being bad at games. I did it too. Now Eggipus Rex is fully random and I have no idea how I did that.
>>724141739You're not wrong, but the Crash games were absolutely games that always rubbed getting 100% in your face.
>>724140482All the Crash 2 secrets have tells. All of themThe Blue Gem one has two. The blue gem being in that level, and if you have the clear gem the box counter will read X/0 boxes at the endThe one with the hole has the bear leave planks behind after falling and has a thud when it lands, the earlier instance of this hole has neither
>>724138068I remember I beat this game as a kid at like 110% I know it goes above 100% and had secrets, didnt have a guide so if I could figure it out as a kid so can you
>>724142453>saw the area 51 level>see ayy lmao sign when doing relics>maybe these are related>try running into it>???>profitYou are completely retarded if you thing Hot Coco involves being bad at the game
