I loved that he keeps from the party until like Terra that he’s potentially thousands of years old.Also the best part of FFIX lore in my opinion is Ipsen. Ipsen flew on a castle, landed on the planet, and potentially became Zidane. This is why in Memoria they mention>all of this is our memories >see space and planets and shit

Zidane props others around him moreso than himself until the final dungeon, by which point it's too little too late. He's like a Disney protagonist, nice morally but kind of a nothingburger overall.Also, for someone that's narrativa thief, he fucking SUCKS AT STEALING, I SWEAR FF9 HAS THE SINGLE WORST STEALING CHANCES IN THE FRANCHISE.
